Rotary Club of Mumbai Mulund South

History


Rotary Club of Bombay Mulund South, is a registered under district 3141 (formerly 3140) of Rotary International, is famously known as RCMMS. Under the Governorship of Past District Governor (PDG) Dr. Venkat Gadwal, RCMMS received its Club Charter on 20th May 1991 by our Charter President Rtn. Captain Ashok Aggarwal. The club name was re-christened as ‘Rotary Club of Mumbai Mulund South’ effective 1998-99 because of change of name from ‘Bombay’ to ‘Mumbai’

PDG. Rtn. Madhukar Dekdhar, PP Rtn. Ramesh Motwani, and PP Rtn. Captain Ashok Aggarwal were instrumental in creation of the vibrant club. Club started with 21 Plus members. Among the Charter members, PP Rtn. Capt. Ashok Aggarwal , PP Rtn. Vijay Arora, PP Rtn. Vijay Goel, PP Rtn. Raj Khosla, PP Rtn. Ramesh Thakkar and PP Rtn. Ramesh Ghatnekar still stand strong with the club.

Current Affairs


Currently the club has strength of more than 55 members. The club is associated with Rotary Trust Mulund South which is registered under charitable commissioner. Each year, the club elects a new President and his Board of Directors. This helps us in bring in new ideas, contacts and areas of work. Every Wednesday (or alternate) the club meeting is conducted and a speaker is called to speak on a new topics, thus enlightening the members for more and more knowledge

The club is majorly engaged in social services and serving the community in the areas of Litracy, Medical, Water Harvesting, Youth Services, Women Empowerment, Tribal area developments, Vocational services among many other activities. You can view details on services here
